Edge on level 6.....
I just bought a Edge box and a AFE intake and have been running it on level 4 and it screams but would really like to try level 6.Have any of you guys had any problems with 6 and should I be worried about EGTs and my clutch slipping?I bought the bombs from West Texas Turbo Diesel and think all all of you should give Chace a call for any truck needs. He is a great guy to deal with and had the best prices I found. ;D

There is a level 5 and 6. They don't tell you about it. I assume they have their reasons.
I have heard guys claiming no problems, and others claiming they had o-ring failures on the upper 2 levels.

Re:Edge on level 6.....
For level 5 and 6 you place the blue jumpers as follows
::X X:: for 75 and ::: XX: for 80. I have had EZ's with one pin cut off so you could not set them to the higher levels and have had EZ's that fueled at stock levels when they were set at 75 and 80. I just set them up to 70.

Re:Edge on level 6.....
I run mine on #6 and I tow all the time as much as 13,500 pounds. I have about 10,000 miles on the box in setting 6, but if your towing you must have gauges as temps will exced 1350 easy!!! my understanding was that 5 or 75 setting was x:: x::

Re:Edge on level 6.....
How bad would it be on the 48 RE if the Edge was set on 80HP not towing anything?????
Is there any potential engine damage that could result????

Re:Edge on level 6.....
So does anyone know FOR CERTAIN what the positions are for the #5 and #6 settings? Two different folks responded here with two different ideas of what setting #5 is... TIA

Re:Edge on level 6.....
Since I typically don't drive my truck like my race car, I think I could get away with running either #5 or #6 and not destroy the clutch. When the car is out back on the trailer and I'm hauling down the interstate here in Kansas, I highly doubt I'll find a grade steep enough to get the EGT's too far up in the "HOT" range I can't remember the last time I drove up a steep grade...

Re:Edge on level 6.....
Well I went ahead and put the jumper into level #6 position and like it a lot! The truck seemed to really respond and feels a lot more responsive on the old **** dyno. I called Edge and spoke with a tech guy and he said the boxes do indeed have #5 and #6 and it does not resort back to stock fueling like someone else mentioned. He would not tell me the jumper positions for these two additional positions but did verify that they were there. He was real reluctant to talk about them, and mentioned that #6 might cause the EGT's to be a tad high on a WOT pull, but under semi-normal driving; if there is such a thing with a Cummins, the EGT's should be ok with the exhaust and airbox mods I have. Now I'm really happy with this box!

Re:Edge on level 6.....
has anyone had any troubles (other than just high egt's)
by running level 6
I heard some earlier trucks had a fiber washer instead of a copper washer on the rail and caused a leak when rail pressure was bumped up
does anyone know anything about this?
which washer is it ?
