I am about to purchase either of the boxes noted?, why would one be better than the other. Same question on the Air Filters

Kevins,

We sell both the Edge and the van Aaken products, the only difference is the container for the electronics and the price, same HP and torque and so on. They both plug in the same and do the same things electronically.

We are a BIG proponent of the AFE Pro Guard 7 intakes as they are the only washable filter to keep the dirt out of your engine while still flowing tons more air etc. We special order the 4 layer filters when folks ask for them but we only stock the PG7 we feel so strongly about it!

Mark, are there any posts or websites where I can see a comparison between the different air flters? I know the debate has been hi-flow/less filtering (k&n) versus lower-flow/better filtering (BHAF), I actually gained some power on dyno runs by removing my BHAF, of course I wouldn't do it daily!
Thanks

Beast2B,

Not between those two specific systems that I am aware of anyway. The PG7 is what we believe in and promote, it flows and works and stops the dirt, and saves you money by being a washable system. The BHAF works too, but they are throw away fitlers and you also get a lot of under hood heat that will affect your intercoolers capabilities etc.
