Unhappy EDGE EZ and my HO?

Just installed a EZ into my 01 HO, I have heard some things that raised my eyebrows with respect to the advance the ez uses, and the higher compression with the HO. Is that inviting trouble down the road or will my truck be fine for as long as I have the ez hooked up? I don't drive with a heavy foot either. Thanks
Josh

you ahould have no problems with a ez and the ho truck . i know guys that run comps and drag comps that throw more timing at the ho than your ez does. i have a few friends that are running ezs on there trucks . do you have gauges yet most important is the fuel pressure gauge .

I found the same thing with mine, I installed the comp box and found it to be much better (even with the wire taped )

Been running an EZ for over three years now and have had no issues. Took a little getting used to the hammering of the engine at first, but now I don't even notice it.

I had an EZ on mine for 2 years before I sold it and went to a comp. Truck ran great with the EZ. Then I added injectors. What a ride.... Never had any problems, unless you count being able to keep your foot off the throttle as a problem.

I ran an EZ on my HO for over 2 years-- no problem.

I would not stack timing devices on a truck, but any SINGLE one of these boxes is safe.

FYI-- I've heard that the HOs have less timing than the SOs from the factory, so it's probably even safer on the HOs.

They probably do considering they have a higher compression ratio. That's why people are scared to run them. I'm pretty sure the Edge has a set of modules for the HO. I know when my buddy ordered his they asked if it was an HO or SO.
