On power level 3 if you floor it from a stop you will get some smoke untill the turbo spools up. What year truck? If its 01 or newer is less smoke due to smaller turbo.

Re:edge ez

level 3 is the 3rd jumper setting inside the EZ box. They come from the factory on this setting. If you add bigger injectors, you might want to change the setting to 1 or 2 in order to reduce the amount of low rpm fueling it will provide to reduce smoke until your boost picks up.

Re:edge ez

No Ricki, but mine is an Auto trans, which is different than a stick shift due to the low turbo speed at take off. He did not say what he had did he???
So I guess it depends on if its a stick or auto on amount of smoke.
Re:edge ez

An EZ will add a tiny bit of smoke to an otherwise stock truck. You can move the jumper under the back cover to position 1 and all the smoke will go away (at least till you add injectors ;D).

Moving the jumper delays the addition of the small amount of extra fuel the EZ adds. Position 1 adds the fuel at 15 psi, position 2 at 10 psi and 1 at 5 psi. (those are the #'s I remember, they could be off a little since its been so long since I read about it).
