Edge Drag COMP, or TST PM3???
#16
This was edge normal comp and tst pm3 normal. No doubt that the comp version of the TST is very wicked and most definately can't be driven on the street set on 9. I have driven a drag comp on the street and it was just like my normal comp. Power was rough to come in. Also, the original post wasn't referring to the TST comp. Just a TST PM3 with a smarty.
I wasn't referring to the power being increased simply by swapping. More to the ease of driveability. I did dyno with the TST by itself before stacking the smarty and I did make 4 more hp and I believe it was around 100ft lb more torque. I didn't dyno with the Smarty/Comp. Did dyno with TST and smarty though and did 438/996. I've run both the comp and tst stacked with the smarty. The TST, at least on my truck, is much smoother in delivering the power.

man mabey i got the TST regular power max then becuase i have tried every stack. comp-smarty, drag-smarty, tst-smarty, drag(ez mode)-tst-smarty and on my truck the DRAG comp alone FEELS by far the strongest. guess i need to find out if i have the tst comp or regular version. looks like i may be albe to get a few more HP is thats the case. is there any way to tell if its a comp or regular powermax TST? sorry not trying to hijack the thread

Was it the competition version? Did you stack it with a timing box (EZ or such)? More important did you dyno it to get the results?
Not knocking anyone but without dyno numbers to confirm gain/loss you just can't tell..... Smoke is just that, smoke. Once you get around 400 RWHP noticing a gain of even 50-100 RWHP is tough.
When I talk about driveability I am also talking about the shudder that the TST has..... No way you could drive a load of animals in a trailer with the box turned up. Yet with a comp it would not be a problem.
