Only difference is the power past 2700rpm's. I've dynoed my truck and my roommates truck with both a regular and drag comp and both produced the same peak numbers but both showed an additional 40hp after 2700rpm. That's a big difference.

Not on mine or my roommates truck. He had an 01.5 HO with mach 1.5's. scotty 2, and 4" exhaust and at the time of testing the stock HX35. I had 275's with the KSB-1. We dynoed his three times and he did 380(comp) and 382(drag) peak with an extra 40hp after 2700rpm. I dynoed 370(comp) and 371(drag) with an extra 40hp after 2700rpms. Now, he switched to a super b and ended up putting 402 to the rear wheels with the drag comp and the above combo. We never did dyno with a regular comp and the super b but I don't think it would have made that big a difference.

well ills ave my 125 bucks for awhile til i get the studs, i have a feeling that extra fueling above 2700 raises pressures a bit and wont help my stressed HG. im gonna be in the 475+ range on no studs and stock HG for a lil bit til cash is plentiful again

I doubt that that last little bit is going to hurt anything but who knows. My catcher should take care of that pesky little defueling problem I have so I won't need to upgrade the comp.

getblown5.9,

The drag comp is rated at 120 HP same as the standard comp. As mentioned its advantage is at the rpm levels above 2700, if you dyno you will see the hP stay much flatter and not fall off.

doug...i am gonna be running the new DDP 150hp sticks, and an adkins lil 55 with my current comp on stock headstuds...will the drag comp raise pressures enough in the high rpms to cause problems? headstuds are next on the list...hope to have those the end of april just before i go to the hot rod cruise in at the ocean

Real question is it worth it for you to spend the extra $ to have power available above 2,700...

How often do you run your truck beyond 2,700?
