edge comp/gauges install ??

i have a 2000 edge comp im getting installed with a set of gauges..how long should a shop charge me for this? im also getting a low fuel light installed...one question i have is with the egt..they told me they are going to have to pull the turbo to put the egt in as they will need to take the shavings out before the turbo...i thought there was a place to hook it up...if anyone has info that would be great...thanks again everyone

They should be able to get the pryo sender in there w/o removing the turbo as long as they are careful to clean out all the shavings. I guess if you wanted to be 100% it might be necessary to remove the turbo, but little magnet on a stick they should be able to get everything out. These trucks already have a low fuel light as far as I know, I know my '96 does. Are you getting one that comes on at a different fuel level? Or might you be talking about fuel pressure?

There is no place to hook the EGT probe up other than drilling and tapping a hole as far as I know.

you can run the comp without gauges if you want just dont go above 3x5 after that you will be able to drop your fuel pressure to low

The harder you accelerate the lower your fuel press gits. anything lower than 5 psi is bad for the I.P.

track the grey wire that comes out of the wiring harness for the comp. it should be connect to the IP wire. if it is not connected then the comp is only putting out about 65HP.

you should have a connector on the end of the grey wire. and you need a scotch-lock on the IP wire. then you plug then together
