Dont run sustained higher than 1200-1300* its ok to run it up 1600* now and then when racing or goofin around. How much boost you making?

If you can get an adjustable boost elbow and back your max boost down to 35psi, more than that and the boost you are creating is hotter than needed and may be in part increasing EGTs.

That seems a little high to me. My roommates truck with mach 1.5's and a comp set on 5x5 with the wire tapped only sees 1500*. I'd try getting an intake on there and see if the helps. He's got a BHAF with 80k miles on it.

I agree with cummins4life...superheated air from your high boost will contribute to higher EGT's. Anything over 35 psi +/- is over-reving turbo and robbing HP.

Reaching 1500* is not uncommon with an Edge comp...on stock turbo and air intake!

I assume you were at/near 5x5 to reach a pegged pyro? If so, I would worry more about your stock tranny than I would worry about spending 5-10 sec over 1200* EGT's.

If your pegging a 35psi gauge your pushing to much air. Throw a 60psi on there and see what it reads. A 4" exhaust will help some also.
