edge comp box question

edge comp box question

Hey guys i recently bought a edge comp box for my 1999 24 valve. i used to have a hypertech hypermax programmer in it now im wondering if i can stack and run the both of them at the same time....has anyone had any experience with this....also i have a bd boost fooler would i beable to use that even thought the edge box plugs into the mapp sensor already? any info would be greatly appreciated thank you

You shouldn't stack the Comp with the Hypertech. And you don't need the BD boost fooler with the Comp as it already does boost fooling. If hooked up properly the Comp will blow your Hypertech away...

alright cool i just wasent sure if it was possible before i tried getting rid of it if anyone even wants it.....one thing thought it seems like the hypertech and that bd fooler made it smoke more then the edge and i tapped the pump with the edge

It depends on how you have the different levels set up in the Comp. Could be you don't have the VP44 tapped properly as well, it's been known to happen...

the comp should stomp a mud hole in the hypertech some thing is wrong... and i use to run both programs stacked some times it never hurt any thing but would cause a funny stumble when coming off of wot some times. it did give more seat of pants acceleration and more coal

Why do you want more smoke? That's just wasted HP!
If you want seat of the pants take off's unplug the MAP sensor from the block. Leave the Comp plugged into the harness but don't plug into the block. Believe me you'll love it.
Comp does all the boost fooling. No need for anything else.

Its not that i really want more smoke i just expected there to be more from the comp box than the hypertech and am skeptical of myself hooking it up but i went back in there and made sure that the line was tapped through and it was so i know its hooked up alright.....im gonna try unplugging it from the block what exactly would that do haha.....

well i unplugged the mapp sensor off the block it smoked alot haha and didnt really change anything else except i had to cold start my truck on night and it threw four different codes but i cleared them and plugged it back in could this have caused them to come on.....also when i first got the edge comp i would make around 26 psi of boot now after having it for only a couple of weeks the max i can get is 20psi
