IMHO
get the comp and control yourself
hook it up completely and dont go above level 3

everyones clutch seems to hold differently , but I ran this settup for about a year and worked great until I got cocky and put it on level 5

IMHO a EZ is not enough if u want to pull an enclosed trailer
(wind catcher)

Re:Edge or Comp?
Thanks for the replies. You guys are saying what my gut has been saying "Get the Comp". Give me strength to keep the wire unhooked. I know I'll have to try it sooner than later, I guess a slipping stock clutch is a good excuse to upgrade.

Re:Edge or Comp?
I just slipped my clutch for the second time powering up a hill today in sixth gear. I have dd2's and the comp on 5x5 and it has only done it twice in the last month. I think you will be fine with the comp. I am going to run the stock clutch for awhile but will be gentle. Good luck with the comp.

Re:Edge or Comp?
My issue is money. I would like some extra pulling power without doing a lot of mods on my truck. If I can put the EZ on and thats it I would prefer that. But if I have to go into bigger injectors and larger exhaust system on top of the Comp it just isn't something I can do for quite some time.

Jeff

Boxes are for the "Properly Valved" bunch
The "Undervalved" don't have the computer controled Injection pump, so BOMBs are more Mechanical(nuts & bolts), than Electronic(plug & play).

A mild cam plate, like a TST #11/10 or City Machine 8310/8313 will give you a fair wake up call at a decent price (Canuck retail on these critters will be around the $300 mark, give or take a few bucks). The cam plate is a safe mod, and your temps should easily stay under control, however I would heavily recommend boost and pyro gauges, even with something mild. If you go with a set of RV230/M300 injectors in tandem with the cam plate, you'll likely need to throw an airbox at the truck, and if you've got an auto, you'll definitely need to look at an upgrade to the auto.

Rod

Re:Edge or Comp?
Thanks for the info Rod. I am going to go check some stuff out then. My first order of business is to get the valves adjusted and the timing checked this summer. It's at roughly 173 000kms
