Its a T-58 compressor ( 58.4 mm inducer) with a 68mm 10blade Q-trim turbine. The turbine housing is .84 A/R something like a 15cm 4" V-Band
Its non-wastegated. The turbo is in the same power area as an HX40, but more robust and slightly quicker spooling.
It has a mass flow of around 60 lbs/min, with a peak pressure ratio of 3.8
Can't remember the exact specs, but also remember that the BB Jammer got the surge slots cut in the inducer section of the compressor cover that allowed it to flow more than a standard T-58. Dave at Turbonetics claimed 825cfm out of it. Works good up to about 525hp or so. I have seen them live at 570hp on diesel/boost, and 650hp with n2o.

Hey Ron, how's it going...long time, no chat. I guess everyone has their own opinions and experiences on everything, and I am just giving mine. I'm still running the same turbo that's been on my truck since 2005. Go figure.

In the standard compressor cover, that's the outlet for a wastegate line. It's plugged on this turbo, since there is no wastegate.

thats what i thought. so is it possible to run a internal wastegate then and all i have to do is change the exhaust housing? or would it be cheaper to run a external gate? the reason i ask is because i want to run nitrous soon and i dont want to blow this little guy up.

One of the guys I used to work with ran nitrous on his 2nd Gen. 540-560rwhp on diesel/boost, and 630-650 on nitrous and never blew it up - non wastegated. Keep it under 50psi and it should live. 42psi is the end of the real meat of the map though.

The seller told me the reason some were listed 98.5 - 02 and some were listed 03-04 was because of the downpipe being different? I would assume this is because where the turbo is mounted on a 3rd gen truck.. I would see no reason why you couldn't run this on a 12V truck.. anyone else?

that would mean i would have to make my own down pipe? that should be fairly simple to do, but my budget will only support a clutch and not both

The clocking of the turbo is different (angle of the compressor discharge vs. oil feed/outlet vs exhaust housing rotation), but the turbo will work on any of the 2nd or 3rd gen trucks. The 3G kits should come with a 3G specific downpipe, intercooler pipe, shorty compressor outlet elbow, silicone hose and clamps. A 2G kit would just be the turbo and downpipe.
