So I just brought home my Edge A2 and after reading the book that came with it I realized that it doesn't do tranny temps or fuel pressure. But according to the edge website the attitude does.

So can someone confirm for me that the attitude DOES monitor fuel pressure and tranny temps.

The whole idea behind buying the A2 was so I didn't have a bunch of guages cluttering up the dash. I didn't shell out $2500 to have to install extra guages! I really like the idea of having the backup camera, gps and monitor all in one package. But for the extra $1500 over what the attitude package cost I can get a really nice b/u camera and gps.

I need an ansewer quick as I think this thing is going back tommorrow!

 

Ok now I'm really confused! I just downloaded the install instructions from the edge website, the attitude DOES do fuel pressure and trans temp, it looks like its part of the Juice module actually. So why doesn't the A2 do tranny and fuel pressure? It uses the same juice module! ARRRGGG! I wish I had my juice module here but its 3 weeks backoredered! Why the hell would they sell/package an A2 without a Juice module? You cann't do anything with it w/o the module!

 

I have the juice w/attitude and it does monitor the fuel pressure and tranny temps.I would assume that th A2 would also.I thought it had everything the attitude had plus some extra features but i could be wrong.

Are you talking about the A2 or the attitude?

Does the attitude display fuel and tranny temps?

When you say it just monitors it does that mean it defuels if things get out of range or does it sound a warning?

I know for a fact that the J/A monitors and displays fuel psi. It comes with a sender that goes where the schrader valve is on the VP. As for trans temp i dont know.

 

should defuel if the converter slips if you have it set that way

 

The attitude monitors tranny temps also.It comes with the sending unit that screws into the transmission case.

 

Does it show the tranny and fuel readings like it does boost and egt? There are some readings that the A2 "monitors" but doesn't show. It uses the info to defuel to prevent damage but doesn't show them to the driver.

Also should the attitutde/A2 power up independent of the juice module? My juice module is 3 weeks backordered so I have the A2 and was going to install it and play with the setting and GPS but it will not power up. I'm not sure if its defective or needs the juice connected to power up.

I think I'm going to hold off on returning it untill I talk to Edge's customer support.

 

The attitude displays the tranny temp and fuel pressure just like it does the egt and boost.The attitude will not work without the juice but im not for sure if the A2 is the same way but im sure it is.

 

Well I took the A2 back yesterday. I'm a bit disappointed as I was really looking forward to having the GPS and backup camera but the whole thing was really stressing me out. There were just too many problems for that much money.

I ordered the juice w/attitude instead, should be in on Wednesday. It was about 1/3 the price of the A2. I figure with cost difference I can still buy a GPS, backup camera and still have enough left over for a 4" exhaust.

If it did all the stuff it says it does for the Ford Platinum package maybe it'd be worth it but for what it does on our trucks(which isn't even everything that the attitude does) its just too much money.

Thanks a bunch for all the replies. It was a good thing I took it back yesterday as first thing Monday morning the order for the juice and camera would have gone in and then it'd be tougher to cancell.
