EBay replacement headlights
Has anyone actually installed one of these sets of replacement headlights (or something similar) from eBay or somewhere else. Like a lot of others I think the stock headlights are garbage. I have the SilverStar bulbs installed and it does improve the lighting but I am wondering if something like the headlights in the attached link ACTUALLY make a difference.

In case the link doesn't work the eBay item number of the sample I was looking at is 8034604752.

They look very similar to the stoclers on my '01 minus the lines going across them. I'm ok with the stockers.
Maybe you should look into a junk yard and just get some later model lights for less $$$.

Sidewinder - my brother was telling me about how he wetsanded his headlight with 2000 grit and then polished them with polish for plastic polish for motorcycle visors. He said after sanding and polishing and reaiming that it made a world of difference. You could also try a better bulb:
Hella HLA-78179 or HL79179

It might be worth a few bucks and some time to try it.

The ebay lights above are a new item. They are clear lens, with a single 9004 bulb. Read on another site from a few that installed them. They said it was a big improvement. The Depo brand are suppose to be the better ones. Are suppose to be a direct replacement for the single bulb lights. This is all second hand info, haven't seen or used them myself.

My lights are aimed correctly and the lenses are not yellowed but I think it is just the design of the lights that is bad. Like I said I've got the SilverStars in there (got a special deal from work) but they are not much better.
I didn't look at the feedback because I wasn't actually interested in buying until I find out if they make a difference. I am not looking for style just better lighting. I just posted the link to show an sample of the lights I was talking about. Thanks for the replys!
Still don't know if its worth it.

on whether you're one of the 1561, or one of the 68.
I wonder if you get a choice before sending him your money?

The lights and their reflector look similar to the 7" round replacements I bought for my Land Cruiser.
Anytime you can use the reflector to aim the light vs. the lens, you're better off. I would bet the lighting will be much improved, though the 9004 filament leaves alot to be desired. I'd bet that a pair of 9007's would work VERY well in there.
That said, no telling about the quality of those housings... they might be junk.

Just put a standard set off replacement headlights on my truck from Ebay. $100 bucks for the headlights, turn signals, and bulbs. I cant believe how much light they are putting out and I havent even adjusted them! I wish I had done it sooner. Only down side was I had to loosen the front bumper to get the old buckets out. About an hour to change them both and I was going slowww and doing some minor rust repair work at the same time.

Sorry about the "Thread-Jacking".....
The Sport style headlights are a MAJOR improvement over the standard lights.
Everyone that has done the conversion has posted that they're very very glad they did.
