Ebay Exhaust
I see a lot of 4 inch DP back exhaust systems on Ebay for un $300.
I also See the MBRP for about $330.00 for aluminized and $440.00 for un-polished Stainless.
Are the Cheaper systems any good?
I am looking for a relatively inexpensive system WITH (Utah, DAVIS county I/M guys) a muffler, I don't feel I need to waste $800 opn a system when they have so many in the $270.00 to $450.00 range.
Thanks, Dan

Ahh........
Maybe S.S wouldn't be a bad idea in your climate? Otherwise I tend to think that stainless is a waste. The modern aluminized seems to be quite rust resistant to me.
Good Luck.
BTW, how were your wings?

There were 3 or 4 guys on here about a month back that got Exhuast off of E Bay, if I remember correctly all were satisfied but one who was missing a pipe, but they made good on the error anyway.
The prices are sure right, I would guess you can't get better than $325-$350 shipped?

Warpspeed Exhaust
I got a Warpspeed system for my Excursion. Under $300 and I happened to be traveling through Bentonville, Arkansas and had Dallas (the owner of Warpspeed) install it for less than the freight to ship it to me!! I am completely satisfied. They gave me a choice of about any style 4" muffler, welded all of the joints, in addition to the clamps. It was one of the best performance equipment experiences of my life. All of the bends were mandrel, with no kinks, etc. These guys kick ***!!

They offer a straight pipe kit too and it costs about $40 less. I bought a custom 5 inch straight pipe system from another seller on e-bay for $375 and I love it.

Warpspeed 4 in on mine and I love it. Can't beat the price and install was a snap. Hardest part was gettin the old stock system off. My $314 system was easier to install then my rommates $450 system. Go figure.

I have a question about the larger exhausts. All of the large downpipes I have seen advertised (4" and 5") look like they are necked down to around 3" where they mount to the turbo. If thats the case (sure look like it), I wouldn't think there would be any advantage to a larger pipe...right or wrong? I was going to get a new downpipe for my truck (all stock for now, but I want a TST kit in the near future), but decided to just extend the 3" downpipe with a 3 foot section of 3"straight pipe.
For those who think a straight exhaust is loud, its really not bad. With the pipe extended back its actually pretty quiet at normal road speed, although it gets a fair amount louder when under throttle. I like it, but then I grew up around large trucks, so I feel right at home with it.

They are "necked down" to bolt up to the turbo. Kinda hard to bolt a 4in pipe to a 3in pipe with out some adjusting in between. There is a big difference in temps from a 4in dp compared to a stock 3in dp. The larger dp is the most beneficial part of (temp wise) an aftermarket exhaust system.
