What kind of dyno?
How much boost do you see on the street?
What gear did you dyno in?
Fuel pressure good?

36 is plenty. With a B-1 ( Steroid version ) 38 PSI makes over 600HP with Mach 6+ size injectors and the COMP or Redline box. Or about 440 with no box.

Sounds like the box is cooked to me.

BTW, injector hole size has next to nothing to do with performance when talking about injectors.

did you try a pull with the box off?? Like Don M said hole size almost nothing too do with power.....if i am correct (Don can tell me otherwize) But i think pop off pressure and atomization pattern are the big factors in an injector....maybe yours arent set up correctly.

how fast did you built up your boost........when i was trying to hunt down my power problem i didnt realize that i had only 10+psi after 2200 rpms and would top out at 36psi. took my truck to a local diesel shop and he told me the turbo is shot and when we looked at the turbo the cartridge had play in it and there was a ton of oil all over the intake of the turbo.....

What RPM did it peak HP? Where was the run started, and where does the turbo hit? (hard part of the ramp up)

What were the differences between 4th and 5th gear runs?

I know when I dynoed my numbers were low for my mods. Come to find out that all the autos were dynoing low because the dyno couldn't load the engine and build boost. A lot of people were down on boost that day.

I wish people would realize this more. Like all it takes to build an injector is make it flow XX amount of fuel.

It's all about the QUALITY of flow, not just quantity!

Keep that in mind when you are trying to R.E. Don's injectors, like everyone else seems to be

I guess it's a compliment being a target-- it means you're on TOP!!

Gotta love these schmucks that think an injector is just X number of holes of Y diameter at Z angle.

But I digress.

I wasnt implying the box wasnt working....i was implying that your injectors are not putting 150 hp to the ground.....sounds more like 80-90 hp

Hohn, Last time I checked this site is for learning and information. I don't think people appreciate being called schmucks because they don't know as much you or others. JFYI industrial injection builds a good injector and has been doing so for years, not to say there isn't something wrong with meatballs, but I doubt it.

Do you know what Don's injectors flow?

You do have to have quantity of fuel, and along with that quantity is the way it is delivered.

ok calm down guys, i know my way around an injector i wasnt saying just because it flow like a garden hose doesnt mean it will make power. all im saying is of all the injectors around, most usually get somewhat close to advertised hp. which is what im saying. II is a great company. Dont call me a jacka## cuz i asked a question. I JUST WHAT TO KNOW WHAT POSSIBILTIES COULD RESULT IN THIS POWER UNDERSTATEMENT. I think i am goin to don M's but hey some of us can alway afford the best.

DAVIDTD - peak hp 2800, started dyno at 2000, turbo starts lighting at 2000-2100 only a 4 hp difference from 4th to 5th gear dynos. like i said the dyno was giving junk readings all day. but nonetheless there should be alot more power than what my backside is feeling.
