dyno pulls for 6sp
I want to put my truck on a mustang dyno before I make some changes. I have read that 6 gear pulls the best numbers. Should I rev to max rpm between shifts? On level 6 with the edge it should'nt defuel right? Where do you think my numbers will be with my current setup on my sig? And with my listed future mods. Thanks.

I'd guess 350hp with your setup. A lot is going to depend on how fast and how hard the load is applied to your truck, so dyno operator variance will affect the number.
I'd go in direct, too.

6th works best for me on a Dynojet. Never been on a Mustang though.
The dyno operator should let you know how he wants you to run it, he may even want to run it. I always just run it up slowly until I'm in the gear I'm going to make my pull. I let rpm's drop to about 1200 to lug it and then "mash it" (what we say in the South for push the accelerator to the floor...lol). Dyno operator may tell you when to stop or if you have stock valve springs, I'd let off at or before 3100.
Before making your pull, make sure you are warmed up to operating temperatures.

I should get 3 runs for 75.00 per half hour here at gillett diesel in utah. I was going to run one on 6x5 5x5 and 1x1 which is the setting I mostly stay at.
Aosipower I might be willing to swap, I am in slc ut. I would also have a shop do the work for me, so somebody would have a long down time. How many miles on yours and where are you.

I am in PA. About 132,000 miles on the truck. zip 18951
Let me know what you think would work. A long down time would not be ideal, but i might be willing to send mine first,if you paid both shippings. I might be able to borrow my dads truck, I would just have to find a shop that wouldn't mind my truck sitting there. If you have any better solutions let me know.

What size tire you runnin And your rpm @ 70 mph. Logistics will be tricky maybe we could make appointments for same day and ship same time? I would have to check but I think this would save about 500-600.With this many miles on my truck and yours it might be better to go with new gears.

I'm running 305/17R16 which is a 33in. Rpm at 70 Im gonna guess a little over 2000. Yes we could coordinate to save some time. I know that all the things required to make a gear swap would add up to more than 500-600 bucks. I think the carrier alone is over that. To swap 4.10 to 3.55 you have to swap ring, pinion, carrier and possibly spiders, I think. Let me know.
