I never dynoed with it, but my '01 was 3 tenths quicker in the 1/4 with an EZ stacked to the PM3 comp vs. not having it stacked. I ran w/ the stack, took it off, then put it back on, and the times dropped and came right back up accordingly. Adding the EZ may not dyno more, but it definitely helps the performance on the road.

Brandon

Just checked my last 3 dyno pulls. On all...HP peaks between 2450 and 2600 rpm and stays VERY level right up to 3200 rpm, where it drops quickly...identical to your drop off (Red).
Your initial power curves (start to peak) is steeper than mine...to be expected, I would think, with you having more fuel and more HP.
No Speedo #'s...wasn't really watching those.

I saw everything that you had seen with the stack regarding drivability. Had you (or your dad now, I guess) ever tried using the Edge wire tap box on that truck? It adds the driveability the EZ adds to the TST box, but with the same or more fueling.

RJ, that's what I like to hear... I just wish I could get ahold of Edge via email. I may call them in the morning and see what they have for me.

joefarmer,

No, niether one of us has ever tried stacking the comp to the PM3. The way I always understood it the EZ was exactly the same when the comp didn't have its wire attached. We did try adding the superchips tuner one time, but it only added a lot of timing rattle.

Thanks John,

What I actually meant was if you tried removing the tst/ez and just going with the drag comp. If not, thats ok. I know that TimInVa recommended the drag comp to me over the tst/ez, not sure if he told y'all yet or not.

Brandon,

Ahhh... I gotcha . No, we never have tried a comp on either one of our trucks, but we have talked about trying one on his. We had a guy trying to find us one to try at one time, but I guess that fell through. I talked to Tim last weekend about why he made the switch and from what I gathered it was more due to the smoothness issue (or lack thereof from the TST). My '01 never really had a shudder at all, dad's has it some, but Tim's was really bad. I'm not sure if he saw a power gain or loss by going to the comp though.
