I have one and really like it, much stronger all around, free spinning wheels. I had some MAJOR issues with the old system, causing me to break down in some really out there places in Mexico. Screwed me real good, took days for a field repair! After the second time, I had to do something. Expensive, yeah, but for me it has been worth it as now I trust my truck a LOT more.

BAJA, Thanks for reply, Please , if you have time,

did you do it yourself, vs install cost,

Do you think the kit will maintain the front axle rating ?

Anything else you can think of that would be helpfull

I call them an talk to them. they are right down the street from my job. If you just stay on road you dont need stage 2 just stage one. He says that the trucks that have them has pick up 20% in gas milage and that the steering is alot better with his free rolling kit

I had the work done. During that time I also installed a new differential. When it comes to those things, I leave it to others. Concerning the axle rating, is the rating judged by the strength of the housing, the axle itself, or both? I never really thought about it, but I would think the rating would not change. I do know that the axle is one solid piece, not two as we have on the passenger side, it is thicker with more splines. I did pick up some mileage, but not 20%. With the Warn hubs, I have been happy with the kit.

I'll be doing this on mine this fall so I'll let you know how it works on a dually. Food for thought, my Dad bought a W-250 brand new in 1972. He performed all of the routine maintenance as per the book as to bearing re-packing and such. He's had that truck four wheeling all over the state of Colorado. He just sold the truck 3 years ago, with the original wheel bearings!
