401/885 with LC's, Stock Sticks, and HX40/B2 twins <--- There was about 50 more HP in this setup, but boost was limited to 60psi. No studs, no o-rings, and 13* timing! The smoke never even started to clear!
Laser Cuts flat out flow the fuel...they are NOT for stock chargered trucks, unless you like seeing 1800*+ EGT's...I could see that with twins, because of the low timing and limited boost. I can say that I liked them better than the 370's and 181's in the winter, they idled cleaner, and started easier!
However, I have heard that trying to shove all that fuel through small sticks can wear out the cam lobes in the pump...over time of course. Just something to think about!
I do think there are better alternative to Laser Cuts, like pump work, and GOOD injectors (I don't consider 370's to be "good")! Also, all the fuel in the world doesn't do a thing if you don't have air! That's when a 12v makes lots of power...when it flows lots of air!
IMHO,
Chris

I knew there was a reason i love this site. O so many helpful people.
I agree that DV's without air is pointless. And I am one of the people that thinks lots of smoke is useless. So I guess I'm gonna hijack my own thread...If I go to injectors, are the ddp4's going to smoke like a train? What other options are out there? I'd like to make a pretty clean 550-600 horses. I don't mind the smoke on take off, I'd just like to get it clean once the turbo lights. Am I pretty much looking at twins just because of that or is there a good single that will clean it without to much lag?
Sorry i'm jumping around but i'm just trying to put ideas together. And by the way. You guys rock

What charger you going with?? Any ideas?
I would think DDP3's or 4's would be a better option than LC's for now...you can always add them later!

That same 401/885 setup I had with twins took 25 minutes to DESTROY a Hybrid 35. Sold the twins and threw on a 60mm/14cm housing HX35, let it idle for about 15 minutes to make sure everything was OK, then went for a drive. 3 miles later I flipped the valet switch off, laid into it, and KABOOM! 41psi, 1250* EGT's at about 1700RPM, and I blew the charger in half...wasn't a single part of the charger I could reuse.

i know DV's are a ton of fuel.... smoke a lot! but those who think its too much smoke, i had my dv's in, with a stock hx35... and adjusted the afc/starwheel so that it would barely smoke. It smoked and had power like stock.... its not like it will smoke no matter what,
BUT IT WILL SMOKE A LOT with afc/plate fully forward! thats for sure!
at least i didnt have to spend a lot of money buying a set I did cut my own ones, to my own specifications, and i went to big. actually it was a fun ride to school!
