A buddy of mine has had spacers on his F350 for close to 100k, no problems, running Cooper Discoverer S/T 285s

theres a ole boy around here with 315's on his powerjoke dually. he has to let all the air out of them, put em on, then air them up to get the wheels and tires on the truck. i was wanting to run 285's but id have to have spacers for them. i haul alot of wood out of my truck and i put 2 or 3 ton on it every time. i might have to go with 265's instead.

If you are wanting taller tires would the 255/85r-16 work. I think they are the same hight as the 285/75r-16 but narrower. I don't have a dually and can't tell you if they will fit.

Just a though,

yea the 255/85's will fit. i've been running them for a year and a half with no problems. the hard part is finding a tire that will stand up to the weight. i've had two sets on the front and one set on the back. don't run the new cooper stx (i believe??) i had all of them seperate on the front. i've run kelly mudders and a high country (i believe??) and have had the best luck with the high country's.. they will upset the speedo if you run'm , mine shows about 6mph slower than i'm actually running so be careful or re-calibrate.

i dont think i can go taller because when the frame is on the axel the tires clear the bed by about 1/2"
