dual remote filters & oil cooler

Anyone ever tried one of these?

http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...19&prmenbr=361

If so, where do you mount the dual remote filters, and how much does the system reduce your oil pressure? Good quality, or do the rubber hoses leak at the fittings?

Thanks.

I wouldn't bother with the cooler, you've already got an oil to water cooler hiding behind the oil filter mount on the truck.

Ya -- I was thinking more about the dual filters, off-road in dusty conditions. A couple of Stratapores could be overkill.

Look in my gallery (page 2) for pics of where I mounted my dual remote system.

It is WORTHLESS with that small i.d they use for the cooler..I could go into the detail if you want and cover all those big engmaneeering words....
The i.d. has to be 3/4 or bigger to carry th volume and stuff

You need a minimum of #10 size hose with 3/8 NPT ends to flow the correct amount of oil. I am running #8 hose and 1/4" NPT fittings into remote oil head and I see about 55lbs (65 before) at cold startup and 40 lbs (45 before) running. I don't think the slight reduction in pressure is hurting my truck but I am looking for a 3/8" NPT tap to enlarge the inlet and outlet on the remote filter head so I can upsize to #10 hose.

I, too, used an AMSOIL dual system. Since installing it we've put over 50,000 miles on it with no problems. I installed mine on the right side between the bumper and the plastic fender well. I attached it to the diagonal brace going from the bumper to the fender. It's easy access for changing filters and sampling the oil for testing.
