Dual disk clutch,on the street?

I was just wondering how a dual disk clutch would be on the street. I've heard that it vibrates but is it bad for anything or just anoying? What else should I know.
Thanks Matt

heck i dunno. i used the stocker on my 02 but it already had the 1 3/8 shaft. so no need to replace mine. somebody will chime in here. hopefully peter from SBC will see it. He knows.

They are grabbier for backing trailers, and such. DEFINATLEY a lot slower shifting. You just kinda have to shift slow. No jamming gears like with the stock clutch.

You'll need a 1 3/8" input shaft upgrade.
Yeah, they shift slower, and vibrate the gears more and wear syncros out faster.
Overall they tell you when to shift.

If you want to sledpull or want to go with more than 500hp the DD is a must.

DD is the only way to go. They are just fine on the street. I dont think it grabby. Pedal pressure to me isnt any worse than stock. You can hear the clutch rattle when its in neutral and it sounds like the throughout bearing is going out when you have the clutch pushed in. Backing a trail is NOT a problem. I have a 20' bumper pull and a 42' goose neck and dont have a problem backing either one. Dont let some of these guys scare you. Call peter at south bend tell him some of the things you've heard about DD and listen to him laugh. You will have to change your input shaft also, and if I remeber right you'll need the master/slave cylinder upgrade.
