Unhappy dtt tranny shot??

i have a 2001 ctd with a dtt overhual kit done by power by poole well after i got in install i was supposed to take it back in and get serviced well i fianlly got around to takeing it in at 25000 miles after install well things didnt look to bad well it has been service twice since then every 20000 miles well i just done it againe about 2 weeks ago and did fine for about 3 days then it stared acting like it was huanting for gears between 1 and 2nd then i got to were i didnt want to shift into third without you haveing to let off of the throttle well now i wont shift into third none so i readjusted the bands and all and stilldont work so it huants for gears in first and2nd and now i wont shift into 3rd and fluid is 3 weeks old and smells really burnt so what do yall think??? is it done or maybe soemthing simple??thinks mike

That was harder than H-E- double hockey sticks to read, but if you burned your fluid up that quick after a service I'm betting it's time to tear down. From what I can read of your post it appears you have 65K on the overhaul.

my tranny was recently doing the same thing exactly with a tc and vb .Now it wont even go out of first.i bet the tc is toast or worse.If it has the same problem as mine you are on borrowed time

It sounds more like an electrical problem to me, I had similar trouble and it ended up being a loose ground at the block and some bad connections from and old MJ tranny controller. Take it back to poole or call Tim Barber at TRE diesel, he is a DTT wizard and Dtt stands behind there stuff pretty good. I broke a billet intermediate shaft and poole went through the tranny and put in new shafts at no charge to me, of course it was only about a year old at the time. Good luck with it but don't count it out till some one looks at it.

ok thinks for all the help olee is a great man i jsut hope i have voided dtt warranty by not geting the first service done till like 25000 miles..but thinks for the all the help guys i will just have olee take a look at it thinks again
