I was looking for you saturday at Fall Brawl. 501 is flat out awesome, especially considering you have another 100 hp on tap as soon as you tap the pump wire. Stock box part doesn't surprise me cuz I was running a stock air box when I dyno'd too.

501 is awesome for no pump tap...but, dont expect 100hp on tap with the wire.

i only picked up 66hp with the wire tap, vs the box turned off.

Why does everyone think that a dyno is wrong when people make power. Before we dynoed all I heard was it was originally dubbed the "heart breaker" because it reads low. Now everyone says that it is way high. There were plenty of guys that dynoed that day that were way lower than what they had thought and even what they had dynoed on other dynoes.
Are you saying that luken didn't put down 659 on the same day. His numbers must be boggus too. Oh wait he backs up the numbers on the drag strip running 12.6s. Run the calculation it comes out darn close.

Each to their own.

i think the injectors must be bigger thats all. and the tq is mostlikely wrong. even tho the HP is possible.

1200+ for 545hp is wrong, EVERY other dyno ive seen has mid 500 trucks from 900-1100. this past weekend i saw 558/934, 500/1021, 501/918, 505/990, 546/987, 568/1049, 630/1060 jsut to name a few

Went to Houston for the DHRA event. Dynoed 503 @ 127 mph. Dynoed 490 without the comp stacked with the superchips tuner. Dynoed 493 stacked on 3x2, my daily driver. Dissapointed in the dyno though, didn't give a tourqe reading. Wish i would have entered the truck pull, but didn't think my clutch would hold it.

What part of just shy of 1200ftlbs did you miss.
If mine is that wrong are all of these wrong too?
(hp/tq Tq:hp ratio)
Mine 545hp/1200 2.2:1 (assuming i hit 1200) if it was 1190 it is 2.18:1
421 hp/941 2.23:1
434hp/1006 2.31:1
438hp/996 2.29:1
438hp/996 2.27:1
438hp/996 2.26:1
455.1hp/ 992.8 2.18:1
455.1hp/ 992.8 2.18:1
467hp/1012 2.17:1
485 hp/1087 2.24:1
501hp/1080 tq 2.16:1
550.8hp/ 195Tq 2.17 (dunbar's dyno)
552hp/1287tq 2.33 (mustang dyno)
525 hp / 1202 tq 2.28 (dynojet)
628 HP/1366 2.18:1
677hp/1453 2.15:1

Yeah your right all of these trucks must have dynoed on a bad dyno too. Their tq:hp ratio is way off. Heck worse than mine (even if I did make 1200). I don't know what I was thinking.

All I said is I wanted to dyno on that one. I might hit 700 hp........... only kidding.

I think it just looks off to many of us that have seen and experienced a few different dyno events with CTD trucks.

All I know is I rode in this beast after I installed the Smarty #8 and put the other box on high. They wanted to see what the Smarty did to their set up. The SOP meter was through the roof! We left 150 feet of dual burn marks, before he even shifted. It was crazy power, insane, dual stack exhaust was black as night when he wanted to smoke out the crowds. This "99" is the real deal. I saw the dyno sheet and met the guys driving it. They are not gonna lie for the sake of the interent. They asked me if I wanted to drive and I said NO! Just take me for a ride once in a while.

I had to post because saying that it is WRONG and that EVERY other dyno says differently. That obviously is not true. I found a mid 500hp truck on 3 different dynos that made simiar numbers, and 2 of those three would be said to be even more wrong than mine.
What is wrong with saying "nice numbers, you don't see that often" or "looks like a good running truck"
Many people say they want to dyno there. Many do and some leave upset while others are happy just like every other dyno.
Sorry to get off topic.
More #'s! Keep them coming.
