DSS install ??????
A few questions for ya , what size scoket for pittman nut 32,33 mm?????Also my torque wrench only goes to 150ft/lbs , is that enough with one more tug on it to be in the safe 180 range, and looking at that lock ring, how tight do you have to get that, it looks like if you don,t tightn it enough the shaft will turn inside the berring instead if the berring turning if you can make any sense out of that ,thanks

As to the lock ring, you don't need to pound on it much at all.
It looks like it will never tighten up, but it does.
Just a tap or two.
I don't reccomend it, but most don't even torque the nut down on the pitman arm, as most don't have a socket big enough.
"Tight enough" seems to work.

If you do a search on the DSS, PhoxMulder has some good info as he went through the same thing with the nut. I remember it being like 1 1/4 or somthing like thaT coming off. Its sorta foggy as It was a while ago..
Like I say, search on it and you should have all the answers you need.. Good Luck..
