Question drill / tap filter & LP housing ?

Instead of buying the 12X1.5mm to -6AN adapters, has anyone drilled & tapped to 1/4" NPT and used standard hose barbs to install larger fuel line while doing a LP relocation ?
Any thoughts on doing this ?

Don't see why it won't work. Give it a try and let us know how it works.

Not sure of the ID of the 6an adapter but sometimes the hose barbs have a pretty small ID and might act like an orifice restricting flow

I know folks who have drilled and tapped the top of the filter housing for a fp gauge no problem. Be careful tapping, it's aluminum, no lube necessary.
Make sure to clear the tap frequently as aluminum shavings tend to bind up and can mess up the threads.
