The dreaded Drone

OK guys, I need some help. Installed the Dynomax 4 inch system with the option quieter muffler. Runs a tad loud for my old ears but not too bad. I do however have the drone at 2100 to 2200.
Anyone have a viable solution? I'm having my parts guy at NAPA who's real sharp see if he can find me resonator, 4 inch in and out to slip in front of the muffler. Any other ideas?

Thanks, Bill

Howdy Bill.

Fixed mine. It was that looooong stretch of 4" between the turbo & muffler. Had the Walker installed "up" twords to the turbo ... gone.

Aeroturbine & Drone

We have found that by installing an Aeroturbine as far forward in the system as possible, it does a good job to eliminate drone and lower EGTs just a bit more.

What about welding some light weight angle onto that long stretch of 4"? Anyone tried that to eliminate the drone?

It is available at any high performance shop, it is non-asbestos wraping material used to wrap headers for high heat applications, I first used it years ago on a Ford psd after I changed out the down pipe and went with larger exhaust, I got the drone bad in it and when I straight piped this 94 I am working on I wraped it and it too went away, Goodluck, Rick Oh yea I used stainless clamps every two feet to keep it there. Just wrap it real tight as you go. I would imagine summit racing has it.
