Drag racing with a 13mm "ag governor" pump

I recently bought a used scheid ag 13mm p pump so I had no choice to choose which governor I wanted, it has the RSV, my question is, are there people out there racing with these governors or is it not recommended? I use the truck for racing only and play around from time to time..some people told me I had to switch to an RQV for racing..truck is gonna run on some 5x0.18's and some nice twins.

Why don't you just call Dan Scheid or Mike Wood at Scheid? They built the pump right?

13mm race pumps, with an ag gov, just get used to broken parts. It will pump out tons of torque. Its one hard fueling animal. Basically you have max fuel until you reach your throttle postion or rpm. Basically an on/off switch, not quite as rough.
