Drag Comp and my warranty?

Well I still have about another 50k until my warranty runs out.And I don't think I can go that long without bombing the truck. So,how do you guys run a comp and get away with it?I have heard about the pump covers and such and I guess this would be the way to go,right? And I guess you just take the box out when going to the dealer. Is it very hard to take out and put back in?I just want to keep my engine warranty intact but I want to run a box.Any other tricks or ideas that I need to know would be great. Thanks

it only takes about 30 minutes to pull the comp and boost elbow, but I think you better make a decision between warranty and wire tap, unless you a very very lucky you will not have both, the pump is the known weak link and they have seen most every effort to hide a wire tap.....so good luck! just put it on and wait for the wire tap, after all once you do you will start buying parts like clutches and tires and such.

a few infamous words... you are your own warranty station...

if you go with any wire tap box be prepared to pay for your own VP-44. when I called the dealer to setup an appointment the first question they asked was whether I had any engine mods on the truck(before the EZ and injectors)..... they know what to look for and will call DC if they even question a warranty claim on a VP... they threw a fit over just the FASS.

Your clutch certainly won't last long if you use the box likes it's intended to be used for...

The warranty covers the truck as is was built, if you modify it you should pay to fix it

I heard that the computer records the highest EGT and the dealer can get in there and read the highest temp the the engine reached, so that would make it imposable to hide any mods, is this true or Bull <edit>.

P.S warranty is for Fords

Hmmm,,,, I can't even think of a sensor that measures EGT on these trucks so I don't think that can be true.
