Drag comp on a H.O.?

I have heard some people say the comp has too much timing for a H.O. engine. What do ya'll think?I also heard the DD true torque comp(I think that is what it is called?)module is a edge comp with less timing. Is there any reason to worry about this or should I just try it?I would prefer to use the edge drag comp over the DD.Any problems?

I had no timing related problems with my 01 running a drag comp. I prefer a drag comp it has a much better power curve

the DD Ultimate Fueling Module (DDUFM) is a little milder.

A Drag Comp won't add HP to the HO pump. Pump is too small and runs out of fuel. You might want to get it for the higher RPM, though.

But if RPM is your game, then you should consider the Redline box from Blue Chip.

HOHN,
Your wrong.
The DRAG COMP will add hp to the HO pump.
Just not as much of a difference as the SO pump.

No matter if its standard or a comp, it will not add more the 90 rwhp to an HO. It will let you fuel to 3200 rpm though.

Cant comment on the drag comp, but the TST competion version didnt add jack to my HO. It only moved the levels down... ie: 3 is now like 6 was, 5 is now like 9 was, and there is absolutely ZERO difference from 5 up to 9. It was not at all worth it for my HO.

I think Edge claims a 90hp increase on a H.O. truck. That is fine with me seeing as I will be getting bigger injectors after the comp is in.I am mainly wanting it as a boost fooler that will also make some power.

600, sure you're not running out of fuel? do you get more smoke at higher levels? if the box is adding more fuel at higher levels, something must be stopping your IP from delivering: lift pump feed pressure, dying vp44, SOMETHING!

caleb, the Drag Comp is nice, but it depends where you're going with your truck. i haven't seen a dyno sheet where the hp max is above ~2800rpm. drag racing or sled pulling would benefit from the higher revs, but not daily driving. mild injectors, any fueling box and a mild turbo upgrade would be VERY street friendly and give you 350-400 hp with no EGT concerns empty or towing. i still say the comp or UFM is better if only to be able to turn off the box and use just the boost fooler option.

I don't really know how much driving I will be doing at high rpms'.Probally not much, but I thought I would go ahead and get the drag comp. That way I wouldnt' need to get it upgraded if I do need the extra rpms'.But I think a regular comp would work fine too. Also, what would ya'll recomend as a fuel system upgrade?I guess a fass is probally the way to go but are there any cheaper ways to supply more fuel?Enough to supply a comp and some mid size injectors(jammer 3's maybe)I don't have the fp gauge in yet so I don't know what it is making stock, but it will be in there in about a week. But I am guessing its' not enough.I was wanting to run the comp and then upgrade the fuel system and then add injectors. But I don't know if I can get away with running the comp before a fuel sys. upgrade.

OK-- for those of you who missed the CONTEXT of my post, I clarify:

The Drag comp will not add MORE hp than than the regular Comp on an HO pump.

Thus, the drag comp will not add hp to the HP pump (over what a Comp would do).
