Does the camper package increase the rear height(leveling ?)
According to the build sheet, my truck has the camper special package.
I think my truck sits higher in the back then most. At least it looks that way.
I have 265/75R16 tires and it measeres about 43.5" to the top of the rear wheel well.
In front it only measers 40"
Seems real high in the back.
Thinkin Skyjacker D25 springs will help.
Was going to get a Tuff Country 3" kit, but that is 3" in front 2" in back, which won't level it all that well.
I am debating on 285s and 315s for tires.
Anybody have some good pics of the D25 coils or leveling kit with 285s or 315s?
Thanks

my 02 with the camper package was up to my shoulders in the back...it sat very high (but i am 5'10" so take it as you see it). either way, it seemed a lot higher than other dodges i looked at while shopping for the one, its actually a part of the reason i bought that truck. the look was good.
i think a few members thought it raised the front of the truck too much when they went to D25's but again if in fact the camper package sits higher in the rear, it might not be a concern.
where in bozeman do you live? i used to live in by the hospital on holly drive and also in the river rock development in "below"grade hahaha. now i moved back to minnesota because i couldnt find any engineering jobs since i didnt have experience.

Yep, used to have Silver Grand Cherokee. And my roommate had a green one.
Mine was 1104,
Anyways, I definitely think mine sits higher in the back.
My roommate has a 95 Dodge Ram 2500 HD with the V8 and his is only 42.5" at the top of the rear fender, but is 41" at the front fender.

I also have the camper package and it was definitely higher in the back than my father in laws 01' ETC who does not have the camper package. Even after the 2" leveling kit I still sit 1" taller in the back than the front.

Got more info
Roommates 95 2500 Gasser sits 41.5" in the front, but only 42.5" in the back. And that is with taller 255/85R16 tires
Measured another guys 01 Longbox, with leveling spacers.
Only Measured 44" in back and 43.5" in front
This is with 315/75R16 Toyos
I bought a set of Pro Comp MT 315.75R16, so I gotta figure out what to do
Thinkin the D25 is better, but if it pulls it close to the fender, because of the arms, then its worse
Opinions? Spacer or coil, or 3" Tuff country kit?

The "camper special" package does not add any hieght to the rear of the truck.
The package consists of a secondary leaf spring perched over top of the standard leaf spring pack, with overload points located on the frame and the addition of a rear swaybar. Niether of which add any hieght to the truck. The main leaf spring pack is the same as a standard truck.
My 99' doesn't have the camper package but my buddy's 99' does. Both are 3500 dually's and both sit at the same hieght in the rear. (I don't recall the exact hieght but one day we were wondering about it and measured and comfirmed that they were the same)

my 2500 has the camper special package, and with a 2 inch leveling kit in front, the rear sits less than 1/4 inch higher than the front. Like Mikelr said, there is nothing that is in the package that would increase the height of the rear, except the fact that having the overloads might keep the rear springs from sagging over time as much as a truck without the package.

I guess it could just be natural variation from truck to truck.

Looked a 95 Diesel 3/4 ton today.
And it definitely sits lower in the back. Only 4 leaves I think. And mine has 5.
Maybe mine just sits higher for some unknown reason.
Anyone have height to the top of the rear wheel well?
