Does #1 or #6 cyl. get hottest on a 12v?

Ok guys, so which is it? I know both the #1 and #6 theoretically have the potential to be the hottest, but I hear mixed opinions. When I was researching where to tap for my pyro about a year ago people were saying #1 gets the hottest on a 12v, and #6 gets the hottest on a 24v. Now people tend to believe that #6 gets the hottest on both engines.

I always understood it to be the cylinders near the firewall, cause there further away from the water.

Seems like any piston pics has always been the last cylinder in the back.

I followed the directions on PDR's webpage, they said put the probe closer to the firewall because of #6 on both 12v and 24v.
