Do I need a boost fooler?

I see you guys talk about boost foolers but I am not real clear if I need one or not? Check my sig to see what I am running

Edge comp does your boost fooling. Boost fooler would come into play if you've modified your wastegate to allow more boost at which point the ecm would normally defuel without some sort of boost fooler.

Yes the smarty doesn't care about the boost.

If your CTD is tripping an overboost "P0234" code.... you might need a boost fooler.

Well I clamped the line off to my waste gate and now get 25PSI when I was only getting 18. Not much difference.

SMARTY doesn't need a boost fooler, it has modified boost tables.

Ahh- good answer. I've seen a couple posts about 01-02 not needing a boost fooler, but I've definately thrown a few 0234's

where did you clamp it at....i got a 90 elbow and i boosted me from 20 to 22....i was wondering if i clamped my hose if it would boost it to like 28... that would be nice....but would it hurt any

Mine does not go over 25 PSI, anything over 35 PSI is cause for concern.

Clamp on!
