I use the truck to tow a loaded down 5er with huge comercial Generators on it. It gets Real hot Fast if I got the Stupid Pedal Buried in the carpet. If I control the pedal, all is well. Naw, I love the smoke. People always look at my truck as a piece of junk because it smokes a little at idle. Then I pull out of the truck stop, and roast the duals. by the time the truck catches up with the tires, im doin' 90 on the pike

i'm debating whether to get a different pyro that goes to 2200 or so. my trucks still down at the moment. why does youir truck smoke a little at idle? is it white smoke like slow timing? or what is it caused from?

the 370 injectors haze a little at idle... even moreso with advanced timing...
gives me a warm fuzzy feelin' to see that cool blue haze streaming out in the morning or when I'm fuelin' up
my EGT's don't climb fast enough for me to consider a 2200* pyro! (and I don't have marine pistons and coated pistons/chamber/valves/etc.!!)
it took me a while to get over the 1300* mark, but I'm not sure I'll ever have the money to get over the 1600* mark!

my buddie's truck runs purro bueno and it will peg a 1600 pyro in like 3 seconds in 5th and at 100 mph.i don't know all the specs on the truck b/c he didn't do it hisself but it is running 36 psi boost and a hx 35-16 non wastegate. "i think. i'm kinda new to cummins so don't rag me if theres no such thing" plus i just took a glance at it and saw it didn't have a wastegate. it looks bigger than my 12 cm wastegate housing. its a 97

I was towing the Generator trailor today, up Mount Washington, I was bringing one to a woman for a backup for her house. On the way up ( the grade is like 8% the whole way up ) I was watchin' all the gauges, and as i took the last turn to the peak (had to turn around) I pounded the pedal, locked up the trailer brakes, and slid sideways into the Bash Bish falls parking lot The pyro tapped 1700, and all was well. The way down was fun as well. Turned the OD off, locked the TC, flipped on the Banks Brake, and took my feet off the pedals. I learned an important lesson today, don't light the duals up coming out of Mc Donalds because cops like to get their coffee there
