Do 305's fit with leveling kit?

Since I'm getting tires real soon, I was thinking, would 305's fit with just my 2" leveling kit? I dont want the all tire/no suspension look either. And I dont want it to rub at all either. Also do you know how much taller 305's are compared to 285'. I'm not looking to lift the truck, I was just wondering. Does anyone have any pictures of their truck with this size?

Katoom,

Have you looked at the 295's....theres not as many models available (as the 305's) but they are taller and slightly narrower than the 305's. 305's are just a smidge taller than 285's.

Im running 295 general grabbers (very much like a BFG A/t but a fair bit cheaper), not even a levelling kit, stock rims and NO rub at all.

Beware ff the formatting of the following. The site doesn't pay much attention to the tabs in the text and it is deleting extra spaces from the lines. It looked really goo in the edit window.

I have 315/75 on my truck now, with factory 16x8 aluminim wheels. The 305/70s, on the same aluminum wheels, will also fit, even without a leveling kit. Either size does rub the track arms in a tight turn though.

Thats what I was wondering...rubbing that is. So what you just said is EVEN with the 2" kit the 305's will fit although they will rub on the track arm? So in full lock my tires are only 1" from the track arm with 285's? I'm going to have to check this. Good info, too.

I am saying that TimInVa, a member here, has Nitto Terra Grappler 305/70's on his truck, and has had them on it since BEFORE he installed the leveling kit. He told me it only rubbed when at the steering locks. He only installed the leveling kit because he wanted the truck level. Tim's is a 2000.
Tim's truck. Only one I have on hand now, so I can't show you the clearance. This was before the leveling kit though.

I now have 315/75's on my truck, with the same rims Tim has, and they only rub at the locks. Another guy out my way, not a member on here though, has 315's on his truck, and does NOT have a leveling kit. Same rims again. I forget the tire brand.
His truck will be here next weekend for me to install a fuel pump, so I will take pics of it then. His is a 2001.

My gallery has pics of my truck with 305's and 315's on the factory wheels. Never used a levelling kit with the 305's. Disn't need the levelling kit with the 315's either but put it on to level the truck.
305's never rubbed, 315's rub turning right.

315's will fit with leveling kit, but will rub when turning sometimes. 305's will work just fine with a levaling kit.

What brand 305's did you have? Pictures looked good, too.
