Delivery Valves Question...

This maybe a stupid question but can you drill out or modify the stock delivery valves to add more fuel?

Thanks
Chris

Short answer, no, if you saw a delivery valve taken apart , you would understand. About all you can do is swap them out for larger ones, which , in your case , they don't come much bigger , unless you go to lazer cuts , which i think are modified stock DV's?

Some machine shops can cut them for you.

i believe it "could be" similar to a problem I had a time ago...

I live far away from any shop in Usa who do Head Oring, and I asked on this board how it has to be done, and what machines I would need.

Only answer i got was: NO! the machines would be very expensive, and you could not do it by yourself... etc...

then a great guy at a diesel performance shop told all the specs on cutting the grooves, wire and everythig, and found a shop 4 km away from me, who can do it!
There are always those people who think things are impossible!

now im not saying its the case here with the Dv's, as I have seen a DV myself.... all you need to know is how to cut and have the right equipment to do it!

i would really appreciate to hear if its possible too!

cumminsdriver635: what does he charge??

I have heard all kinds of things about delivery valves, I know where they go and what they do BUT I have no idea what they look like. Does any one have a picture of one? And how about a picture of the difference between a stock one and a modified (laser cut) one.

I work at a large machine shop, and after finding cores I have made a few sets of EDM injectors, and am awaiting some spec for DV's the largest problem I run into is not enough cores for testing and ofcourse its very hard to get specs to use for reference. But with the tools its easy to accomplish if you know what specs to go by
