wait a sec, is that flat 3 pin plug supposed to be plugged in to something?

If your refering to the plug down low on the block, below the ECM on the drivers side... that's the Data Port. (Actually has a dust cover on it?).

Not suppose to be plugged in anywhere... but is used by Edge Boxes.
