Dealer checked fuel pressure today
Hello Everyone,
I'm up against the end of my warranty so I had the dealer check the FP and look for leaks/codes etc. The truck checked out fine but the dealer told me the FP was 17 at wot and 16 at idle. I've done tons of reading about this and even the new fass pump I'm reading about only shows 15 or so, and I understand if you're stock, you should opt for the "weaker" spring to reduce the pressure
Did my dealer prove checking the FP is just a crap shoot or maybe not even check it? They were very busy today. I got a new VP44, lift pump and rail installed under warranty 25K miles ago last December at this same dealer. Are my pumps or anything at risk if the pressure is this high?

When was the last time you changed your fuel filter, I had a dealer check mine and he cheked in the wrong spot , before the filter. To get an accurate reading you have to check at the VP 44 . Mine checked just into specs before the filter, but 1 psi at the VP as told to me by EEP. This sounds like it could be the problem. Dean

Yeah, I asked him to check it at the vp44. I'll find out Monday where he checked it. Also the fuel filter is a brand new fleetguard.
