DD3's...which box to get?

ok i am lookign to get some dd3's real soon, they are about 100hp versions, my question is which box to go with, i know i wont get as much power but I don't want to tap my wire just yet.

The thing im looking at is an Edge EZ with the 100hp injectors...will this combination work being that my turbo is now at a point where its running 34psi with no fueling mods and so far my highest EGT is reading just under 1200 pre-turbo...but thats only on a long WOT run down the highway

here is what i wanna run

dd3's
Edge EZ
stock turbo with banks big head wastegate (currently peaks at 34psi)
and everything else you can see in the signature

i am only looking for maybe a little over 300hp/700tq, ill be getting a SBC con ofe soon too

On your ETH, those DD3's are rated for 115hp. I have the same injectors in mine. Thats a good deal in the classifieds.

the real ? is do you want to tap the pump wire or not if it was me i would buy the edge comp and run it un tapped until you get a good clutch in there and then if your heart so desires more power tap that wire . chances are that your pump will live threw a wire tap .

as a matter of fact my truck was previously tapped as scott from renegade diesel was looking at it, he found the pig tail still tapped where they had removed the box before trading the truck in.

i may just tap the wire and see how long the pump lasts...if it dies, ill drive the beater until i get the $$$ for a pump

The injectors did wonders for my truck. I am going to dyno with like it is now (sig), then see about swapping the Ottomind for a COMP!!!

Neil, how is your clutch holding up with the current set-up...and how hard do you drive it?

The clutch seems to be fine so far. I am not real hard on it, little bursts around town and some 5th-6th gear runs once in awhile. I realize a clutch is in my future, but I am having good luck so far. With the amount of mods the previous owner had done, I wouldn't be surprised to see an aftermarket clutch in their also, but I doubt it. good luck with your injectors, post results when you get them in.

Here is the big question....How is my truck going to run with the injectors, but no box yet...I am part of Poor Boy Racing (PBR) so i build on a budget in steps...I will be installing the injectors and running them for maybe as long as 2 months before I get the box

I am going to have to take it easy on the clutch which I should be doing anyway and I assume there is going to be a little smoke with the 115hp injectors!
