Re:DD2s or Bully Dog step2 injectors????

From what I've seen it depends on what you plan to do with your truck. The DDIIs are a kick *** injector, but they build a ton of heat. If towing moderate to heavy loads, the DDIIs by themselves are the way to go. If used in conjunction with a Comp box, they will build some heat and would not be able to be used to their potential. I would suggest Bosch (new) 275s if used with a fueling box. They will allow you to run hard without quite as much heat. This is my opinion based on past experience, and I am sure more people will chime in with their suggestions. The 275s are also half the price of the DDIIs, and if bought new you know they are identical in terms of performance from one injector to the next. This cannot be said for the Diesel Dynamics stuff. Again, I do not want to irritate anybody, Diesel Dynamics makes a great product. It just depends on what you are trying to achieve. LE

I ve heard guys/gals say they like the DDII's better but on the other hand some love just using the 275's with the box's. Like LE said it all depends on what your gonna be doing with it whether it will be towing, burnin' those pisky ricers ;D or draggin'.

Do I understand you correctly when you say the performance is the same between the DD'2's and the Bosch 275's ? This is my next purchase and I thought I knew that I wanted the DD'2's until I read this...

Rod @ wildcatdiesel.com has some new 90HP injectors with the smoke of a Stage 1 and the power of a stage 2 plus 10 additonal HP. Not honed. EDM modified. New tip design.

Re:DD2s or Bully Dog step2 injectors????

The 275's and DD2's are completely different. The DD2's are like an 80hp injector (give or take 10) and the 275's are 40hp (give or take 10). The DD2's will build more heat cause they are a big injector. You can run the 275's and COMP box all day long with no trouble on the stock turbo. With the DD2's and COMP box, you will need at least a new intake (a Scotty 2), possibly a new turbo to keep the EGT's in check. I don't know much bout the Bully Dog injectors. Your best bet would be to call Rod at Wildcat Diesel and talk to him. He will set you up right.

The 275's and the Comp box work great together IMO, and the HP not to bad I got 365 out of mine with no problem. 8)

Re:DD2s or Bully Dog step2 injectors????

Those EDM modified ones Don M is talking about are some serious sticks they work really slick and I run a set of them. If you want to make the power of a stage2 1/2 and the smoke of a stage 1 then this is the ticket!

The Stage 2's and 275's are very different. The stage 2's are honed to have larger injector holes to flow more fuel then the 275's the added cost is stage 2's is the honing time to enlarge the holes.

Re:DD2s or Bully Dog step2 injectors????

OK now I can talk from experience...We just purchased a 2k 4X4 with DD II's,Edge EZ,4" exhaust,PDR HX35/12 and it has right now a BHAF air filter. We have not changed to the Scotty yet.
Dyno'd hp is 353 and it will run mid 14's

The truck was put together to pull a 11k 5er. When pulling hills...the EGT's would stay somewhere in the 1100* mark..When we drove home from New Mexico(where we bought the truck)..I set the cruise @ 82 mph and the EGt's were sitting around 600*. This truck is a real...real pleasure to drive.
Yes you can run fueling boxes with DD II's and keep the EGT's down..
I know....I have(my wifes truck) one sitting in our drive way..
