Dd clutch and fluidampr
I know that my DD clutch has made my shifting a little more notchy. wondering for those who have a fluidamper with a DD clutch if the dampner helps the shifting at all.
also what do you think I just recently did a rebuild wondering if I should put a new dampner on due to the rebuild. the oem dampner has 180k on it
thanks

I doubt the damper will change shift quality. The dd is just a heavy sum-pup for the syncros to slow down. I did make a slightly longer slave cylinder pushrod and that made a noticable difference. I'e been wanting a fluidamper...4200 makes me nervous with the stock, 300k damper...

What style of pressure plate is your 3600, the lever type or the diaphragm type? Both of my 3250's are the diaphragm type, and shift like stock. Very little change in shift speed or feel. The 3600 I have is the lever type. Heavy pedal, and definitely slower shifts. That clutch is also 4 years old, lots has changed since then.
Fluid damper won't change the shifting at all. It helps with the vibrations that the DD accentuates, mainly the direct drive rattle around 1700 rpm. It was real bad with solid hubs on my NV4500. The sprung hubs wasn't as bad, but there wasn't nearly as much improvement with the fluid damper either.

thanks for the info on the dampner. I have seen a friends 2nd gen before and after when he installed one and the odd ball thing was a glass of water on the hood at idle before and after the dampner install and it did smooth out the water. but that wasn't rocket science just interesting to see.
