I was wondering if there was something out there for data logging? I found the Bully Dog Snooper Dog, has anybody used this before? Or does anybody know if there is something else out there? I read something about an OBDII port, does my truck have one? Any help would be great, thanks.

 

Your truck's PCM is ODBII (On Board Diagnostics, version 2) compliant. I'm not sure what BullyDog sells, but there is a wide range of ODBII diagnostic tools out there. I've heard of Auterra, autoenginuity, AutoTap, plus a bunch of others. If you're just looking to datalog errors and common data, these would probably be your best bet. What data did you need logged?

Well I thought it would be useful to have to see what ther engine is doin and for trouble codes and what not.

 

Ah I see. I like the way your thinking. I would check out some of above mentioned OBDII tools and see which ones will do what you want. I dunno, but I bet the BullyDog would show the most information about our trucks since they only do Dodge trucks.
