In dash CB
I mounted my CB in the useless cupholer...
I took it out, pulled it apart, screwed the bottom of the CB housing to the metal bracket that the cupholers slid on, After I drilled some holes so I could hear the speaker... I need to run an external speaker, but I can still hear it pretty well.
And then I cut the cupholder so the black plactic front trims out the install. I cut it straight back on the sides of the CB. (There is no plastic under it. I tried to leave the little strip, but it was pretty flimsy, and in the truck you can't really tell it's not there.)

Thats pretty slick. I would do it but I use my cup holders all the time so for right now I usually just lay the CB on the center console. I have been thinking about installing it inside of the console with the front of the cb sticking out of the console but right now I don't have the time to make it look as good as I want it to.
