it broke on this pull, but it has always worked great in the fact that i never had a 1 tire fire when playing around or launching.

If I replace the carrier with an entire new unit and have the bearings pressed on etc, will I need to have the rear set-up again or is that only with new R&P gears?

You will need to set it up again. The old settings give you a starting point but I've probably set up 10 or 15 gear sets and no two carriers were exactly the same. Very important... don't take shortcuts on the setup. If you are close but not on the gearsets will probably be quiet enough so you think they are ok but will be weak and have a much shorter lifespan! Hey TJ you'll have to reset the back lash, or at least check it .008" is ideal. Have your neighbor help, didn't he have a 4x4 shop once?
