Cutting 3rd Gen Center Caps for H2's

I know there is info about how to do this but I cannot find it. Can someone point me in the right direction. I dont want to spend money on more lug nuts and I am not breaking these things down again to put back on the mill. Just want to know exactly what I need to do to get them on the truck through the cutting method. Thanks.

I used a dremel with a carbide tip. Removed about an inch. I wrapped tape around the cap for a guide and took my time. It's not factory straight, but once I got them to fit I don't notice. The tabs have to be cut to, i think i cut 4 off of each one and trimmed the edges so they would set flush when they go on. I just remembered I had to trim or sand down the back side of the "ram head" because it hit my axle, on the rear ones.

Hope this helps...

Edit: here's some pics

Table saw

I have done a few sets on the table saw, a little dangerous but I grew up in a cabinet shop and am pretty comfortable with it. I used stock Dodge luguts too.

I thought you cut off 3/4 of an inch off. I just used a Dremel with a cut off wheel.
