Custom Center Console
Any body know of any aftermarket companys that make one yet?
I've been thinking of doing something myself since I've got all the woodworking tools and everything but it would be lots easier if I had some kind of patern or something to go on.
I was thinking of making something and having it covered in leather with a large compartment for CD's and my .45 Kimber. Maybe even a space to recess my CB. 8) Any other ideas out there.?
Something like this; http://www.atthemart.com/acb/showdet...8&CATID=13
Guess I'll have to take the center seat out and do some measuring this weekend.

Re:Custom Center Console
After you build the console, where you going to put the satellite dish? You are going to add the tv feature in the url you sent us too, aren't you? Sorry, couldn't pass it up. The buttons on the Post Reply page are a different color. Jack sure is getting busy.
I like to tinker in the wood shop as well, but this looks rather like a complex tasking. I don't remember seeing anything from tree up but like Shovelhead said, that other thread may get you close. One thing though: If you do come up with a workable plan, try to make it a adaptable system, then market the product as a sideline. Mods seem to be a money maker. Remember the thread about finding a decent cb mount? Boy, that went around the block and a few sites several times. Who ever comes up with a decent system adaptable to all types of systems and trucks will make a buck or two if he keeps it simple and relatively inexpensive.

Re:Custom Center Console
I like the one Darrell found. I am also an avid woodworker with a big shop full of tools. There is just me now in the family so I would like to remove the middle seat and build a console to fit the area where it was. Have several ideas in mind but nothing definate yet.

Barry

It is nather nice thought, he did a great job on it and I'm sure other will like it as well.

I want a huge compartment that goes from the top of the seat almost to the floor. These full size .45's take up a lot of room.

Might try and call the company it the link and see if they make that console for my 99, I'm sure the price will probable send me screaming into the night though. :

We'll see what I can come up with.

Darrell
