Homestead, you cracked me up and the wife was ready to call the paramedics. Sitting on the couch, watching the Nascar boys and I read your post. I started laughing and then choking. Momma comes down the stairs and thinks she's gonna have to heimlich me. That's funny right there.

You want to hear something funny? I got spanked by an older 12v the other day running home from work. He actually out smoked me too. The truck looked like a beater but man she ran hard.

I was turning left from a stop light last Friday, and a PowerJoke was behind me. I had the 20ft flat bed hooked up (2700lbs) empty. I saw him in my mirror, a little smoke out the tail pipe and he was coming up on my left. Me, foot to the floor, and turning the PM3 up from 0 to 4 (gotta watch them EGTs), after the turbos spooled up.
Next time I looked in the mirror he was WAY back there, 7-8 truck lengths, and blinking his lights. I was at 80+ mph and hit the brakes. I did not expect to leave him behind like that. I figured I'd just make a "good showing" since I was pulling a trailer at the time.

I let him pass me, not feeling a need to whip him again, and he STILL had the nerve to try and smoke me when he got in front. Can you believe that. I guess I embarrassed him in front if his lady.
Guess I'm a Diesel Head, guilty of number 31.

HAHA!! ...Good stories guys!......I gotta add one of my own too!..

So, me, my wife and our German Sheperd are in our 94 (that is a full load in a regular cab!) meandering down the freeway doing about 70 mph in the middle lane when a slammed Civic with a wing that should be on a 747 attached to the trunk lid, an exhaust tip the size of a trash can and a full load of kids attempts to blow by me in the left lane. Well, needless to say, spool up is a non-issue with the way this old 12v is fueled and turbod, so we blew by them like they were standing still - this old 12v STORMS up to 120 mph!! I had the hammer down until they were just a little dot in the rearview mirror and let them catch up again....then they try to smoke me again!.....The little civic struggled to hit 95 mph and we were just half throttling beside them!.....The kids in the Civic are going nuts, my dog is barking in my ear at them, my wife is just rolling her eyes at me and I have a grin from ear to ear - it doesn't get any better than this! ......The kids just looked at me in disbelief, gave me the thumbs up, I waved and pointed at the Cummins logo on the door and let them go on their way....I had a perma-smile for the rest day!

I got tired of the driveline expenses so I detuned mine a little. Some of the cars get me now but I can still whoop the new PSDs! That's all I care about anymore - just don't want F & C trucks catching up with me! I can relate to the new SD test drivers - there's a F dealer on my way into town. That's almost as much fun as my wife can provide! Craig
