I have had a 62/71/13- 62/65/13 and now now a 62/71/14. I tow around 10,000lbs to 12,000lbs in 3,500ft. elevations and up and I love the heck out of the 71/14 over any of the the other ones I have had. Cools great and starts to back temps off as it gets running the 65 wheel IMO was a huge turd that heated up fast and never cooled off not to mention it went flat real fast where as the 71/14 seems to keep pulling. Ph4tty and Bridleman, Looks like you two are flowin abit more fuel then me though. And I only tow more then 6k lbs a few times a year.
I appreciate your feed back but I think that will just be too big for my fuel mods and what I need it to do.
Pinkston any feed back on these sizes?

With my Hot J/A and 105-10hp sticks Im lookin at about 230 ish hp in extra fueling. I just cant decide between
62/65/12 or 14 or..
64/65/12 or 14.
Im conserned a 14 will spool too slow for around town towing, so maybe 12?
Also a 64/65 would give me just a little more air to keep it cooler.

That pretty much sums it up right there. I do notice that you've got to punch it harder with the big turbine to get things going, but that wouldn't be a problem for most of the guys in this forum I went from a 64/65 to a 62/71 and noticed that even with the smaller compressor.

My jammers may be one of the reasons I dont like the 62/71/14 as much. With the way my truck is set up now the smaller turbo was much better.

My Mach 4s should be here any day so I may have a different opinion of the turbo after than.

Hmmm. I think I'll go with 64/65/14. Compared to my HY-35, that will be a huge differance already. Then throw in some ddp 3's or Mach 2's with 3 piece exhaust mani and studs and hopefully, my truck will be just what ive been wanting.

Thanks for all your info guys.

I had jammer stage 3 when I put on my turbo and it was blaw. shortly after I upgraded to mach 4's and it was night and day. cleaner smoother and I will say the mach 4's and my 62/71/14 are great. a good smooth punch. I actually was able to keep same mpg but better power range. I dont get toasty at all. you will like your mach's
