couple questions

Well next weekend I am going to get a 4 inch mbrp straight, timing at 16*, dowel pin jig fix, #10 plate, 3k gsk, guages, and intake.

What I would like to know is first he only carries afe intakes and they're 300 somthing. What will help keep my temps down the most, scotty or the afe cuz i'd need to order the scotty, and how does each filter and fit cuz i don't want to hear any rattling.

Also I'm getting guages and I would like to run a 3 guage pillar mount but I have a 5 speed 12 valve so what could I run for the third guage (tranny temp?) they're isspro guages. I don't need a third one but as lame as it is I like the looks of a 3 pillar.

you dont need a tranny temp guage. thats mainly for an auto. 3 guages make a huge blind spot on the a pillar. and if your going to buy another guage for the fun of it thats wasting 50 - 150 bucks. not something i do for fun...

Ummm, so why did you buy all of your other BOMBs? Not to be a smarta**, but....... Aren't most BOMBs for "fun".

Wana- If you were in Texas (or some other hot place) and tow heavy, I would still get a tranny gauge for a manual trans. Also, if I was in that situation, I would also have a temp gauge for the rear diff. If not, it really isn't necessary.

Id go with fuel pressure

When the pressure drops, its time to clean the prefilter, or change out the filter. A trans temp on a manny tranny is not as accurate for reason that you would be measuring the temperature of the actual fluid in the trans, and not the critical temperature between the gears, or so i understand. I tow heavily once in a while and tow alot, and as long as you are not slipping the clutch, or in a hurry to get anywhere, there should be no reason for you to need a trans temp gauge in a manual..

That may be, but some semi's run w/ temp gauges in the rear end and the trans. They just measure the temp of the gear lube.

If you need some help,

root up my report on the KDP report using TST Kit, i wrote a literal dissertation on how the kit was put together and what my troubles were. I also helped out a recent member "Imcumin" with another long post I think his is titled Newbie with issues, please look those up for your refrence.. and if you 4 wheel alot.. please ask me about my posi lock kit...

IMHO

there is no such things as a wasted BOMB.. perhaps i see your point about not needing a temp gauge for the manual trans, But he might want to use it, and so be it.. He might think that stacks are a wasted BOMB, even tho we all know that they (or in my case a zero plated full forward ram he he he he )are helpful tailgater control.... I know u use your clutch to tow, and ur bombs to more effiently move your loads around as well as the occasional romp, same with me.. so i do see your point....
