couple ?? bout shocks for 98.5 Ram w/ 4.5" Skyjacker lift

My friend is looking for replacement shocks for his 98.5 Dodge Ram which has a 4.5" Skyjacker lift. He's probably looking at a minimum of Bilstein 5100's and curious to see if anyone has had good success with throwing on a set of King's with new springs. Website recommendations and part numbers, if you have them, would be helpful. Thanks!

cool name....
I run the skyjacker 4" system and the longest bilstein shocks made. If your SJ system is 4.5" I'm not so sure you'll be able to run these shocks....unless they've begun making them longer or the spring setup allows lower connection points for the shocks. You will probably find that they will be fully extended. Call Bilstein and they should be able to confirm.

I run the 4.5 Skyjacker on my 01 and recently installed the Bilstein 5100 shocks. I do not do any serious off-roading, so I rarely get much extension or compression. I'll look up the part numbers in a while, but they do list the application on the Bilstein website.
BTW, they ride great.
